Crossing Paths With One of London's Traditional Cabinet Makers ....

A lifetime's experience of working with tools and craftsmanship and a collection of tools and machinery ranging from over one hundred years.
I was lucky to be shown around the workshop that was round the corner and see some of the beautiful and equipment old and new.

These are some of the photographs. I also made some sketches that I hope to share.

Set Of Three Animations Created For London's Garden Museum

These are the final set of three animations that were commissioned to be part of the brand new renovation of London's Garden Museum. They form part of the interactive displays, with the aim of assisting visitors to understand the uses of a selection of the historic tools on display. You can see them in place surrounded by some obscure and fascinating tools all year round in the upper space 'Making Gardens' section.

New Illustration and Animation Commission for London's Garden Museum

This fantastic museum sits on the edge of The River Thames opposite Westminster; Home to a selection of fascinating tools, gardening equipment, design and gardening merchandise from throughout history. I am proud to say I was recently commissioned to create a set of illustrations and animations to be part of the permanent exhibition within the newly redeveloped museum.

For this commission I was asked to create three illustrated, short animations to demonstrate step-by-step, how some of the unusual tools work and their uses.

After a year of being closed for major redevelopment, I took a sneak peak during opening week to see the animations in place and how well the building was looking after its major works! These are some snaps I took.

- I will be posting some of the illustrations and animations shortly

Artist Friends ...

I recently suggested I might like to start using more green in my work to a friend.
She was clearing out her studio in Copeland Park and came across these pastels still in their original packaging and passed them on to me.
Nice pastels and nice packaging.
Good friend.
