Contact and About

Ruth Emma Fox is a freelance Illustrator based in London.

Her interest in observing craftsmanship of the everyday was first inspired when she inherited two complete engineering toolboxes from her grandfather; recording and cataloguing each item to create a sensitive representation of their considered design and the skill required to use them. These themes have continued both within her commercial and personal work.

After studying Ruth was spotted for a placement with Tiger Print, creating illustration and design for Marks and Spencer, as well as being asked to take part in live drawing session in John Lewis, Oxford Street.

Notable clients and commissioned projects have included illustration for The Wallace Collection and the London Garden Museum as well as collaborative projects with bespoke makers such as the London Cloth Company. These projects have had a strong focus on bespoke drawing and design for branding, merchandise and animation. As well as creating pattern design for textile print and providing Ruth Emma Fox stationary to a number of high profile purchasers.

Over the next year Ruth will be announcing a number of new commissions and projects.
